President Prabowo Subianto has said he will continue to oversee Indonesia’s journey even after being called by God. He made the remarks during the opening of the XVIII HIPMI National Conference in Bandar Lampung on Wednesday (10/6). Prabowo initially stated that Indonesia has the opportunity to become the world’s fourth-largest economy by 2045. He noted that today’s young entrepreneurs will be at the peak of their careers by then. “If we are clever and smart, by 2045 our economy will be the fourth largest in the world, brothers and sisters. The top will be China, second the United States, third India, and fourth the Republic of Indonesia,” Prabowo said. He pledged to continue paying attention to Indonesia’s development journey and the achievements of the next generation at that time. “Later, I will be in Hambalang monitoring you below, if I have not yet been called by the Almighty. If I am called by the Almighty, I will still be watching and monitoring you. If you misbehave, at night I will come down looking for you,” Prabowo said, greeted by a roar from the attendees. “Do not play around. If you betray the Red and White flag, I will come down and find you,” he added. On that occasion, he also reminded businesspeople not to commit illegal acts. “Now do not try to break the law; you will lose. Why? Now there is technology, there is AI, there is intelligence.
