Prabowo: If Called by God, I Will Still Monitor You from Above

President Prabowo Subianto has stated that he will continue to oversee Indonesia’s progress even if he is eventually called by God.

He shared this sentiment during the opening of the XVIII HIPMI National Congress in Bandar Lampung on Wednesday (10/6). Initially, Prabowo noted that Indonesia has the potential to become the fourth-largest economy in the world by 2045.

He remarked that today’s young entrepreneurs will be at the peak of their careers during that period. “If we are capable and intelligent, by 2045 we will be the fourth-largest economy in the world, brothers; the ranking will be China first, the United States second, India third, and the Republic of Indonesia fourth,” said Prabulo.

He admitted that he would continue to pay attention to Indonesia’s development journey and the contributions of the next generation. “I will monitor you from Hambalang, as long as I have not been called by the Almighty. If I am called by the Almighty, I will still monitor you. If you are unruly in the middle of the night, I will come down and find you,” said Prabowo, which was met with loud cheers from the attendees.

“Do not play around. If you violate or betray the Red and White (the national flag), I will come down and find you,” he added.

On that occasion, he also reminded entrepreneurs not to engage in unlawful acts. “Do not attempt to break the law now, or you will lose. Why? Because we now have technology, we have AI, and we have intelligence. Now, a document this thick can be read in five minutes. A contract this thick can be read in five minutes. Therefore, brothers, let us achieve a good future; let us master and control everything for the greatest possible prosperity of our people,” he said.
