Prabowo: I Understand Many PKH Task Force Members Are Threatened and Intimidated

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto conveyed his appreciation for the performance of the Forest Area Control Task Force. This appreciation was expressed by Prabowo at a ceremony held at the Attorney General’s Office headquarters in South Jakarta on Friday (10/4/2026). Previously, when delivering the report, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin, representing the Attorney General’s Office, handed over Rp 11.42 trillion to the state treasury. As the Deputy Head of the PKH Task Force, Burhanuddin also stated that the PKH Task Force has successfully regained control of forest areas in both the palm oil plantation sector covering 5,888,260.07 hectares and the mining sector covering 10,257.22 hectares. “Therefore, on behalf of the government, the state and nation, the entire people, and myself personally, I wish to express my thanks to you all working in the PKH Task Force,” Prabowo said. The head of state then expressed the highest regard for the sacrifices made by PKH Task Force members. “We understand that our country is vast in physical terms; inspecting, auditing, and checking on the ground is not easy. For us, for the elites in Jakarta in air-conditioned rooms, we cannot imagine how difficult the work of the PKH Task Force is,” Prabowo stated. “And I understand you all, I understand, because a president has many eyes and ears; I am aware that many PKH Task Force members are threatened, some are intimidated, and so on,” continued the chairman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party. Furthermore, Prabowo said that safeguarding the nation’s wealth and saving the nation’s wealth is truly work full of honour and nobility. However, there remains an irony. “There are among us, we must admit, within our bureaucracy, within our ministries and agencies, within our institutions, there are individuals given tasks and honour by the state but who use their authority and power instead to help those who steal from the state’s money. We understand that,” Prabowo said. “That is why I appreciate your work. You are among those who still have a great sense of responsibility to the state, the nation, and our people,” he added.
