Prabowo Hopes for 400 BUMN Employees Trained by the TNI to Have Noble Hearts and Sharp Minds

South Tangerang, Kompas.com — President Prabowo Subianto hopes that 400 employees of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) taking part in the Presidential Future Leadership Programme (PFLP) will become employees with noble hearts and sharp minds. This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Defence Donny Ermawan Taufanto after opening the PFLP at the Indonesian Army’s Doctrine, Education and Training Development Command (Kodiklat) in Buaran, Serpong, South Tangerang, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. ‘What exactly is the PFLP? In essence, our President wants the government and our BUMN to have good governance and strong performance. In addition to governance, we need high-quality human resources,’ Donny said. ‘In other words, those with noble hearts and intelligent minds. I said earlier, best heart and best mind. That is what the President expects,’ he added. Of the 1,068 employees invited to participate in the selection, around 700 attended and 400 were declared successful in the first batch. The number of participants comprised 272 men and 128 women. The PFLP programme lasts nine months. The first three months will be spent at Kodiklat TNI to build character, nationalism, patriotism, togetherness, discipline, and fighting spirit. Thereafter, participants will undergo four months of training at Danantara Corporate University to deepen managerial skills, decision-making, analysis, and understanding of cyber security. ‘So, I think what they will receive later will be comprehensive. Many lecturers, both domestic and international, will be brought in to impart knowledge to them,’ Donny said. In the last two months, participants will undertake internships at ministries, government agencies, bodies, or BUMN. ‘They are the sprouts of the nation that we must empower; we will provide education and training so that our investment can serve Indonesia in the future,’ he said.
