Prabowo honours parents' sacrifice for TNI-Polri officers

President Prabowo Subianto conveyed his respect and gratitude to the parents and families of young TNI and Polri officers who have allowed their sons and daughters to dedicate themselves to the nation and state. Speaking at the 2026 TNI-Polri Officers’ Commissioning Ceremony at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, the President thanked them on behalf of the Indonesian nation and people. He stated that the success of the young officers in reaching this point of service was inseparable from the prayers, support, and sacrifices made by their families throughout their education. Behind every officer standing tall today, he noted, is a mother’s prayer, a father’s resolve, and a family’s sacrifice. President Prabowo stressed that from the moment they took their oath, the academy graduates no longer belonged solely to their families but had become the property of the entire Indonesian people. He asserted that this public trust must be answered with sincere service and exemplary leadership. The President urged the officers to fight with courage, lead by example, and serve with sincerity and wholeheartedness. In his closing remarks, he advised the new officers to remain loyal to the nation and state, to prioritise the interests of the people, and to dedicate all their abilities to Indonesia.
