Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto convened a restricted cabinet meeting at Kertanegara in South Jakarta on Friday evening, together with several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, following his arrival in Indonesia from a state visit abroad.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya announced that President Prabowo arrived in Indonesia on Friday morning from a foreign visit that commenced in the United States, proceeded to the United Kingdom, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates.

“This evening, he will hold a restricted meeting, shortly before breaking fast at approximately four o’clock. The restricted meeting will continue until the breaking of the fast, and then resume afterwards. The location is at Kertanegara, but it will be closed,” Teddy stated when providing a press statement at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Friday.

The Cabinet Secretary noted that President Prabowo directly convened a closed meeting with ministers immediately upon arriving in Jakarta on the same day.

During his visit to the United States from 19-21 February 2026, President Prabowo attended the inaugural Peace Board Summit at Washington DC. In that meeting, Indonesia reaffirmed its position in supporting the realisation of peace in Palestine.

Subsequently, President Prabowo immediately held a bilateral meeting with United States President Donald Trump. Both discussed the matter of a reciprocal tariff agreement that had long been under negotiation.

The outcome saw the two heads of state sign an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) that benefits both nations, whereby Indonesia secured zero tariffs for 1,819 domestic products in the American market, including flagship commodities such as palm oil, coffee, cocoa, and electronic components.

On Monday (23 February), President Prabowo witnessed the signing of a framework agreement between Indonesia’s Investment Management Authority (BPI Danantara) and Arm Limited in London, England.

On Wednesday (25 February), President Prabowo arrived at Amman Military Airport, in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Head of State held a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II that discussed matters related to peace in Palestine, Indonesia’s participation in the Peace Council, and incidents occurring in the West Bank region.

Subsequently, on Thursday (26 February), President Prabowo visited the United Arab Emirates and was received by President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ).

That meeting marked the conclusion of President Prabowo’s work visit whilst further strengthening Indonesia’s strategic partnership with the UAE, a partnership that has developed rapidly in recent years.
