Prabowo Holds Private Meeting with Rosan to Discuss Downstreaming
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Friday (24/4/2026).
The meeting discussed accelerating the downstreaming programme, as well as strengthening national investment, including priority programmes currently being implemented by the government.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya revealed two discussion topics related to the meeting.
“First, the development of the downstreaming programme, which will soon be built in 13 locations,” said Teddy, citing the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram on Friday (24/4/2026).
Second, regarding several investors who will invest in Indonesia.
On that occasion, Teddy also expressed the President’s desire for downstreaming not only in the energy and mineral sectors, but also in agriculture.
Separately, through his official Instagram account, Rosan revealed that the meeting focused on the President’s strategic directives regarding the acceleration of downstreaming and strengthening the Danantara priority programme.
“Thank you, Mr President, for the directives on accelerating downstreaming and strengthening the Danantara priority programme, today in Hambalang,” he said.
Rosan emphasised that the government is optimistic that investment in Indonesia will increasingly add value to the national economy. Through downstreaming, Indonesia is expected not only to be a raw material exporter but also to develop a more advanced processing industry.
“Investment in Indonesia, God willing, will increasingly add value, open more job opportunities, and drive the national industry to become more competitive,” he continued.

These projects are additional to the downstreaming programmes that have already been running.
