Prabowo Holds Meeting at Kertanegara Residence Following Return from Overseas Trip
President Prabowo Subianto held a limited cabinet meeting, or ratas, at Jalan Kertanegara IV, South Jakarta on Friday, 27 February 2026, following his return to Indonesia from an overseas official visit the same day.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that Prabowo had just landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airfield on Friday morning after his official travels from the United States to the United Arab Emirates. “He will conduct a limited meeting later today,” said Teddy at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Friday.
Teddy explained that the meeting during Ramadan would be held approximately two hours before the breaking of the fast. “Probably around 16:00, then the limited meeting until iftar, and possibly continuing afterwards,” he noted.
According to Teddy, the meeting at Kertanegara was conducted in closed session. He did not disclose which officials were invited by Prabowo to attend the meeting at the residence, which once belonged to Prabowo’s parents.
The Presidential Security Force sealed off access to roads approximately 50 metres from the residence. Guest vehicles were observed near Prabowo’s Kertanegara residence from around 18:00 WIB. Some vehicles began leaving around 20:00 WIB, though several remained parked nearby.
Before returning to Indonesia on Friday morning, Prabowo visited four countries over 11 days. His overseas visit began in the United States, departing Indonesia on Monday, 16 February 2026 and arriving in Washington D.C. the following day.
In the United States, Prabowo met President Donald Trump to sign a trade agreement. The former defence minister also participated in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington.
After leaving the United States, Prabowo continued to London, England on Monday, 23 February 2026. In the United Kingdom, Prabowo witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Indonesian Investment Management Body Danantara and British semiconductor company Arm Limited.
From England, Prabowo travelled to Jordan, visiting Basman Palace in Amman to meet King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
From Jordan, Prabowo proceeded to the United Arab Emirates to meet UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Qasr Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, 26 February 2026. Prabowo also broke his fast with President Al Nahyan and UAE emirs during this occasion.
Prabowo returned to Indonesia from the UAE and arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Airfield on Friday morning, 27 February 2026.
