President Prabowo Subianto convened a series of meetings with several ministers from his Red-White Cabinet at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday, 8 March 2026. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that the Head of State led five separate meetings from midday through the evening.

According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy, during these meetings President Prabowo requested the latest reports on developments across several key issues and strategic government agendas, both domestic and relating to international dynamics.

The first issue discussed concerned the development of ten new campuses focused on strengthening science and technology fields. “The development of 10 new campuses in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as well as medical education,” stated Cabinet Secretary Teddy.

Additionally, President Prabowo requested reports on efforts to enhance the quality of state universities to enable them to compete at the global level and to expand cooperation with world-renowned universities.

During the meetings, Cabinet Secretary Teddy noted that President Prabowo also discussed the development of the international geopolitical situation, particularly dynamics in the Middle East region, which are assessed as having implications for global and regional conditions.

Another topic addressed was the development of an education programme for Palestinian students in Indonesia, particularly those studying at the University of Defence. According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy, during his tenure as Defence Minister beginning in 2022, President Prabowo invited 20–40 Palestinian children to study in Indonesia, with the number now reaching nearly 200 students.

Beyond education and geopolitical issues, President Prabowo also requested reports on government preparedness for the anticipated Lebaran holiday migration surge expected to increase in the coming weeks. “Security preparedness and smooth operations for the Lebaran migration in the 10 days leading up to Eid al-Fitr,” concluded Cabinet Secretary Teddy.
