Prabowo Holds Limited Meeting with Luhut, Discusses Economic Conditions and GovTech
President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with the National Economic Council (DEN) Chairman Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday evening, 14 July 2026. The gathering was also attended by DEN members including Mari Elka Pangestu, Chatib Basri, Firman Hidayat, Tubagus Nugraha, and Pantro Pander Silitonga. Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya shared the moment via the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet. Teddy stated that the DEN reported the latest developments in the national economy to Prabowo, while also conveying several strategic inputs regarding strengthening the Indonesian economy amidst global dynamics. Furthermore, the Luhut-led council reported on the progress of refining the government technology (GovTech) system as part of accelerating the government’s digital transformation. Teddy claimed that the refinement of digital-based government services is aimed at improving data accuracy and ensuring that various government programmes are received by those who are truly entitled, thereby minimising targeting errors, strengthening the effectiveness of aid distribution, and realising a more modern, efficient, and transparent governance. The limited meeting in Hambalang was also attended by several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet, including Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini, Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, as well as Presidential Special Assistants Dirgayuza Setiawan and Agung Gumilar.
