President Prabowo Subianto received a state visit from the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The two leaders held a tête-à-tête, or four-eye meeting, as part of the state event series.

PM Charnvirakul arrived at Merdeka Palace at 16.53 WIB. After the state welcoming ceremony concluded, Prabowo and PM Charnvirakul introduced their respective delegations and ministers.

The Indonesian government delegation included Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, and Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Agency Dony Oskaria.

They then proceeded to the credentials room of Merdeka Palace, where PM Charnvirakul signed the guest book and shook hands with Prabowo.

Subsequently, Prabowo and PM Charnvirakul met tête-à-tête in the President’s office. After their private discussion, a bilateral meeting was scheduled, attended by each country’s delegation, to discuss strengthening cooperation in various strategic fields.

The two leaders then witnessed a number of cooperation documents that had been signed by the two countries. In the next session, Prabowo and PM Charnvirakul delivered a joint press statement.

The final agenda in the series of the Thai PM’s official visit today was a dinner banquet hosted by Prabowo for PM Charnvirakul and his entire delegation at the Palace.
