Prabowo highlights meritocracy in IPDN admissions

He made the remarks during the inauguration ceremony for newly graduated young civil servants from IPDN in Sumedang District, West Java, on Wednesday.

“Before stepping onto this podium, I received a report stating that all the young civil servants here come from highly diverse backgrounds. Many of them were raised in very modest families, with some being children of laborers, farmers, and non-commissioned military officers,” Prabowo said.

The President emphasized that this diversity demonstrates IPDN’s commitment as an inclusive institution dedicated to developing the nation’s best talents.

“We want a truly credible selection process that produces the best talents for the nation. Anyone, including the children of laborers, has the opportunity to become young civil servants and one day rise to national leadership,” he said.

“This is proof that the Republic of Indonesia is succeeding and that Pancasila truly provides opportunities to those who excel through a merit-based system. This makes me proud,” he said.

The government inaugurated a total of 1,204 cadets from IPDN’s Class XXXIII at the Jatinangor Campus, in accordance with a decree issued by the Minister of Home Affairs.

Aji Bayu Ramadhan from East Nusa Tenggara Province, who majored in Government Information Engineering Technology, was named the class valedictorian.

He is the son of Winoto Hadi, a construction worker, and Wahyuniarti, a a housewife.
