Prabowo: Happy Easter, May It Bring Peace to All

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto extended Happy Easter greetings to the Christian community. “Happy Easter 5 April 2026 to my brothers and sisters of the Christian faith,” Prabowo wrote in his Instagram Instastory @prabowo, on Sunday (5/4). Prabowo hoped that Easter would bring peace to all parties. “May Easter bring peace and goodness to us all,” he stated. According to Christian belief, Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion. Separately, Pope Leo XIV, the supreme leader of the Catholic Church, led Catholics worldwide in the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican, on Saturday (4/4) evening. He called on humanity not to be lulled by the vast conflicts plaguing the world and to work for peace. In his homily, the first US-born Pope reminded that distrust and fear have severed human bonds through war, injustice, and the isolation of nations. “Do not let ourselves be paralysed!” he exclaimed, as reported by Reuters.
