Prabowo Greets and Embraces Visitors During Open House at the Palace
President Prabowo Subianto greeted, shook hands with, and embraced members of the public who attended the open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3/2026). Prabowo arrived at the Presidential Palace around 3:00 p.m. WIB. He wore a white koko shirt, black trousers, and a black peci. The President’s greetings to the public were accompanied by his son, Didit Hediprasetyo, who wore a blue koko shirt and a black peci. Upon entering the event room, Prabowo immediately shook hands and extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to those present. The public responded with great enthusiasm, eager to shake the President’s hand. This moment of camaraderie was particularly memorable for the attendees. Some were even seen crying and trying to hug the President. During this gathering, the President was also accompanied by the State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. The open house event was attended by 4,000 to 5,000 people from afternoon until evening. Additional facilities, such as tents in the outdoor area, were provided to accommodate visitors if the indoor capacity was full. Various food offerings were available, including traditional Eid dishes like ketupat. Simple entertainment was also prepared for children who came with their families. The opening of the Palace to the public on this Eid occasion follows the same pattern as previous years, where the public is given the opportunity to visit and engage in silaturahmi within the Presidential Palace grounds.
