Prabowo greets and embraces residents during open house at the Palace
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto greeted, shook hands with, and embraced members of the general public who attended the open house event at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Saturday. Prabowo arrived at the Presidential Palace around 3:00 PM Western Indonesia Time. He was dressed in a white koko shirt, black trousers, and a black peci cap. The President’s greetings to the public were accompanied by his son Didit Hediprasetyo, who wore a blue koko shirt and a black peci cap. Upon entering the event room, Prabowo immediately shook hands and extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to those present. The public responded with great enthusiasm, eagerly shaking hands with the President. This moment of camaraderie was particularly memorable for the attendees, with some visibly emotional, even attempting to hug the President. During this gathering, the President was also accompanied by the Minister for State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi and the Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. The open house event was attended by 4,000 to 5,000 people from afternoon until evening. Additional facilities, such as tents in the outdoor area, were provided to accommodate visitors if the indoor capacity was full. The event featured various food offerings, including traditional Eid dishes like ketupat. Simple entertainment was also arranged for children who came with their families. The opening of the Palace to the public during the Eid season follows the same pattern as previous years, allowing the public to visit and engage in greetings within the Presidential Palace grounds.
