Prabowo: Global crisis to be approached with caution, public must remain calm
Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto has assessed that the current global situation is fraught with uncertainty, with various countries facing crisis pressures that are impacting the world’s economic conditions.
In his address during the Full Cabinet Meeting on Eid al-Fitr 2026 Preparedness at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday, the President instructed the government to approach this condition with caution whilst not halting economic activity.
“We must address this crisis, but the economy must continue to run, the public must remain calm,” he said.
He emphasised that the rhythm of public life must continue unabated to maintain stability and public peace.
The President also stated that Indonesia still possesses the strength and capacity to face the various global challenges ahead.
According to him, the national situation generally remains under government control thus far.
“Broadly speaking, we can still manage it,” he said.
For this reason, the President reminded all government officials to continue working cohesively to maintain stability, so that the public can carry out activities calmly amidst the dynamics of the global economy.
