Prabowo-Gibran Volunteers Vow to Monitor Government Policies
Further steps must be taken following the ratification of the Job Creation Bill.
An iftar gathering of former National Campaign Team and Regional Campaign Team (TKN-TKD) members for Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in West Java was attended by several figures, activists, and volunteers who were previously involved in the 2024 presidential election victory. Packaged as a halal bihalal event combined with consolidation, the activity aims to reactivate the volunteer network to monitor and secure government policies.
Volunteer coordinator Agus Teddy Sumantri stated that the former TKN-TKD Golf West Java volunteers are ready to be reactivated as a form of commitment to overseeing the government’s operations.
“We, the Prabowo-Gibran volunteers and supporters in West Java who were once part of TKN-TKD Golf West Java, are ready to be reactivated. This is to affirm our full commitment to monitoring, securing, and ensuring that government policies run smoothly,” said Teddy in his statement on Wednesday (22/4).
According to him, these steps are taken to maintain public welfare and national stability amid global geopolitical dynamics. The volunteers also believe that the leadership of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka is capable of preserving economic and energy resilience.
“The volunteers present conveyed that the government’s step to maintain subsidised fuel prices is correct. Maintaining energy supplies and strengthening the food self-sufficiency programme is concrete proof of concern for the little people,” said Teddy.
He added that these policies are not only an economic strategy but also a form of protection for everyday community life, especially for lower-middle-class groups.
In addition, the volunteers highlighted several government priority programmes such as Free Nutritious Meals, the Red White Cooperative, as well as food and energy self-sufficiency programmes. These programmes are seen as progressive steps in promoting equitable welfare and education.
Although still in the early stages of implementation, the volunteers affirmed their commitment to helping monitor so that the programmes run transparently and on target.
“We do not want the President’s good intentions to be misused by individuals seeking rents. West Java volunteers will stand at the forefront to ensure these programmes truly provide maximum benefits,” he emphasised.
On that occasion, the volunteers also reminded the importance of maintaining unity amid global crisis threats, emphasising that stability is not only related to politics and security but also concerns the economic conditions of the people.
“If the prices of basic necessities are uncontrolled, MSMEs could collapse, and workers could lose jobs. Therefore, maintaining economic stability is a collective struggle for the nation’s safety,” he concluded.
