For context, every 1st of October, the Indonesian people commemorate Pancasila Sanctity Day. Pancasila Sanctity Day was established by Indonesia’s second President, Soeharto, following the G30S/PKI events in 1965.

Pancasila Sanctity Day is observed to remind the nation that Pancasila, as the state foundation, stands firm against various attempts to overthrow it. This commemoration also serves as a mark of respect for the fighters who fell during the G30S incident.

Pancasila was formulated by the first President, Sukarno. The values of Pancasila were extracted by Bung Karno from the daily lives of the Indonesian people.
