Prabowo was seen off by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief Herindra.
Prabowo is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump to discuss strengthening Indonesia-US relations and strategic cooperation across various sectors.
Prabowo is also reported to be signing a reciprocal trade pact (Agreement on Reciprocal Trade/ART) with Trump. Previously, on Sunday evening (15/2), Prabowo summoned several ministers to discuss the negotiations.
The ministers present at yesterday’s meeting included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, and State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi. The meeting focused on ensuring that every step in economic diplomacy truly serves the national interest.
“Ensuring that the position Indonesia takes in every economic negotiation with anyone, particularly in the near term with the United States, is the best and most advantageous for Indonesia,” said Teddy in a statement on his Instagram account, posted on Sunday evening (15/2/2026).
According to Teddy, Prabowo also emphasised that economic negotiations must not be merely short-term transactional in nature, but must have a direct impact on strengthening the national economic structure. In this regard, increasing domestic industrial productivity and strengthening global supply chains are the top priorities.
“The President wants the negotiations to maximise domestic industrial productivity and strengthen the global supply chain for industry,” Teddy said.
In addition, Prabowo is scheduled to attend the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace established by Trump. The inaugural meeting is to be held on 19 February.
