Prabowo Extends Special Thanks to PDIP, Puan Responds

House Speaker and PDIP Central Board Chair Puan Maharani responded to President Prabowo Subianto’s expression of gratitude towards PDIP, delivered during his state address on the 2027 State Budget Draft at the parliament complex on Friday (14/8).

Puan reciprocated the thanks, stating that building a nation cannot be done alone.

Quoting the President’s statement, Puan said that whatever the differences, if it is for the good of the country, everyone must be united.

“As the President said earlier, whatever our differences, as long as it is for the good of the nation, of course we must be able to stand united together,” Puan said after the event.

Puan affirmed that PDIP will continue to work together to realise and support every government programme.

“PDI Perjuangan will work shoulder to shoulder, in mutual cooperation, to jointly support the government’s policies,” she said.

Prabowo specifically thanked PDI Perjuangan during his speech on the Submission of the 2027 State Budget Bill and Financial Note in Jakarta on Friday (14/8).

According to Prabowo, despite frequent disagreements, he believes PDIP supports his administration. He said this is because his government has embraced the ideology of Marhaenism.

“Actually, this is not Prabowonomics, this is Marhaenism. It would be difficult for PDI-P not to support this,” he said.

This is not the first time Prabowo has thanked PDI-P. On previous occasions, he has also praised PDIP’s political stance.
