Prabowo Exchanges Eid Greetings with Muslim Leaders, from Erdogan to MBS
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has exchanged greetings with a number of leaders from Islamic countries during the Eid al-Fitr 2026 festivities.
The Islamic country leaders contacted by Prabowo during the 2026 Eid holiday period include the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“In the past few days, in the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr, President Prabowo has also conducted greetings via telephone with Muslim country leaders,” as quoted from a post on the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, on Monday (23/3/2026).
Several other heads of state will also be contacted in the near future by Prabowo. The exact timing is still awaiting confirmation from each country’s protocol offices.
“These greetings embody the close brotherhood and cooperation among Muslim countries, while also strengthening bilateral relations in an atmosphere full of blessings,” as stated in the post on the Setkab Instagram account.
As is known, Prabowo observed the night of takbir in North Sumatra. Afterwards, he performed Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh, and held a halal bihalal gathering with the public at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.
