Prabowo Establishes Task Force to Accelerate Economic Growth, Led by Airlangga and Prasetyo Hadi

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has established a Task Force (Satgas) for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Enhancement.

This formation was determined by Prabowo through Presidential Decree (Keppres) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2026 concerning the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Enhancement, signed on 11 March 2026.

“In order to implement the acceleration of government programmes, a Task Force for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Enhancement is hereby established, hereinafter referred to as the Task Force,” states the content of the decree, quoted from the JDIH Setneg website, Friday (17/4/2026).

The Task Force will be responsible for coordinating the acceleration of government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement.

For example, this includes economic package programmes, economic stimulus programmes, government priority programmes, main programmes in several ministries/institutions, and other programmes based on the President’s directives.

Furthermore, it will conduct monitoring and evaluation of the realisation of budgets supporting the implementation of government programmes to support economic growth enhancement.

“Determining breakthrough steps to resolve strategic issues quickly and accurately in accelerating the implementation of government programmes to support economic growth enhancement, and carrying out other tasks assigned by the President,” as stated in the decree.

The Task Force is assisted by three deputy chairs, namely Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, and Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy.
