Prabowo emphasises that Free Nutritious Meal programme must be implemented with full responsibility
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto has emphasised that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme is a significant mandate that must be carried out with full responsibility. This was stated by President Prabowo while attending the National Consolidation of the MBG Programme, initiated by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) at SICC, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday, under the theme “500 Billion Meals Challenge: Building Indonesia’s Future Generations Through Nutrition – An Inspiring Session.”
According to reports received in Jakarta, Prabowo emphasised that all implementers of the MBG programme play a vital role in ensuring that the benefits are optimally felt by the community. “Providing food is a noble task for us and it must succeed, it will succeed, and you are an important part of it. However, if you do not want to work well, you must step aside; if you do not want to work well, please step aside. The important thing is that the interests of the people are above all other interests,” Prabsem tegas.
The President also expressed his appreciation to all MBG officers and partners who have dedicated themselves to running the programme, including those serving in remote areas facing difficult geographical challenges. “Thank you, brothers and sisters, for being here. Thank you once again for your service in far-off and difficult places. Thank you for your dedication and your loyalty,” said Prabowo, met with loud applause from the participants.
For Prabowo, the success of the MBG programme is determined not only by good policy but also by the dedication and integrity of those implementing it on the ground. Therefore, the President urged all ranks to continue working with a spirit of service, maintaining the quality of service, and placing the interests of the people as the top priority. This national consolidation was attended by approximately 12,173 participants and 5,873 partners involved in the implementation of the MBG programme across various regions in Indonesia. The event also served as a platform to strengthen coordination between the National Nutrition Agency, partners, and all programme implementers to expand service reach and ensure the programme runs effectively in supporting the creation of a healthy, strong, and superior Indonesian generation.
