Prabowo Drafts 2027 State Budget at IDR 4,097.2 Trillion, Deficit at 2.68% of GDP

President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that state spending in 2027 will reach IDR 4,097.2 trillion. This figure is an increase compared to the IDR 3,842.7 trillion in the 2026 State Budget (APBN).

Meanwhile, state revenue is set to reach IDR 3,426 trillion in 2027, up from IDR 3,153 trillion in the 2026 APBN. Financing is planned at IDR 671.2 trillion, with a deficit of 2.40% of GDP.

“We will strive to reduce this further, as we understand that the ideal deficit is as small as possible; indeed, our aspiration is a balanced budget,” Prabowo stated. He also stressed that this 2.4% deficit target is lower than this year’s deficit target of 2.68% of GDP, or approximately IDR 689.1 trillion.
