Prabowo: Do Not Trifle with False Reports

President Prabowo Subianto warned his subordinates against submitting false reports. Prabowo made this statement during a celebration marking the first anniversary of Badan Pengelola Investasi Danantara.

The Head of State requested that data submitted must accurately reflect field conditions. “Do not trifle with me with false reports, pleasing reports, reports intended to deceive. I am issuing this stern warning,” said Prabowo at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

Prabowo issued this warning whilst discussing Danantara’s performance over the past year. The data he received indicated that Danantara increased return on assets (RoA) by 300 per cent in 2025 compared to the previous year.

He hoped that this figure was not the result of data manipulation. Prabowo stated that his subordinates must not submit false reports merely to please him. “I have received a report; I hope this report is accurate,” said Prabowo.

If the report were accurate, he said, then this achievement would serve as proof of the success behind the principal reason for establishing Danantara. Prabowo explained that Danantara represents a consolidation of all assets owned by the nation and the state of Indonesia. Therefore, this body carries a heavy responsibility and trust in managing all of Indonesia’s wealth.

For him, Danantara as the principal controller and manager of state-owned enterprise (BUMN) assets represents something good for the nation. “It is impossible to have good management without unified control, in one hand,” he said.

President Prabowo officially launched the Badan Pengelola Investasi Danantara on Monday, 24 February 2025. Danantara is an independent institution under the President mandated to manage and optimise government investment and assets of state-owned enterprises.
