The Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, confirmed that President Prabowo has signed the dismissal letter for Silmy Karim. Speaking at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday, Prasetyo expressed appreciation for the law enforcement agencies, including the Attorney General’s Office, the National Police, and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), for their ongoing efforts to combat corruption.

Silmy Karim was officially detained by the KPK alongside seven other individuals who have been named as suspects. The group is facing charges related to extortion and gratification. During the investigation, authorities seized various pieces of evidence, including foreign currency in US Dollars and Singapore Dollars, precious metals, and several vehicles.

The eight suspects identified in the case are:

  1. Silmy Karim (SK) – Deputy Minister of Immigration and Correctional Services 2025-2026 and Director General of Immigration 2023-2024

  2. Saffar Muhammad Godam (SMG) – Acting Director General of Immigration 2024-2025

  3. Jaya Saputra (JS) – Director of Stay Permits and Immigration Status, Directorate General of Immigration

  4. Tessar Bayu Setyaji (TBS) – Head of Sub-directorate for Change of Stay Permit Status, Directorate of Stay Permits and Immigration Status

  5. Bagus Bramantyo (BGS) – Head of Sub-directorate in the Directorate of Stay Permits

  6. Ronald Arman Abdullah (RAA) – Head of Central Jakarta Immigration Office 2024-2025 and Head of Class I Special Non-TPI West Jakarta Immigration Office 2025-2026

  7. Juniadi Sri Priambudi (JSP) – Head of ITAS Status Change Team

  8. Gusti Benardiansyah (GST) – Staff of the Stay Permit Sub-directorate
