Prabowo Dismisses Collapse Predictions, Says Indonesia 'Getting Stronger Every Day'

President Prabowo Subianto has addressed parties who believe Indonesia will collapse. Prabowo made the remarks during a briefing at a plenary cabinet session at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday (20/7/2026).

Initially, the Chairman of the Gerindra Party stated that the Red and White Cabinet had worked hard and together achieved proud accomplishments. However, Prabowo did not deny that many problems still need to be resolved.

‘Our work is still plentiful, our journey of struggle is still long, but we can already see what we have achieved,’ he said.

Prabowo then dismissed the notion that Indonesia will collapse. ‘This month it will collapse, this month it will collapse, this month it will collapse. It turns out that every day it gets stronger, every day it gets stronger,’ he stated.

Furthermore, Prabowo said that the world is currently plagued by war. Many countries are anxious and panicked regarding food affairs. ‘We have already achieved food self-sufficiency. Regarding energy, we are also facing difficulties but we are more prepared than others. This is not to make us complacent. This is not to make us quickly satisfied, no,’ said Prabowo.
