Prabowo Discusses 'Leadership Skills' While Praising the TNI Commander and National Police Chief

Initially, Prabowo stated that he was proud that many countries wanted to buy Indonesian fertiliser and rice. Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, and then he also expressed his gratitude to the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief.

“I would like to thank the TNI Commander and the TNI for their assistance, and I would also like to thank the National Police. The police have also provided extraordinary support for the corn process, as well as the warehouses, and the hundreds of MBG kitchens, which may be the best and cleanest police stations,” said Prabowo during his speech at the inauguration of the Ibu Marsinah Museum in Nganjuk, East Java, on Saturday (16/5/2026).

Prabowo then spoke about the ‘leadership skills’ he uses when dealing with the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief. Prabowo said that he would praise the National Police Chief when meeting with the TNI Commander, and vice versa.

“Indeed, the skill of a leader is that when there are two subordinates, we must make them compete, so when there is a TNI Commander, I praise the police, and when there is a National Police Chief, I praise the TNI, so when they leave my office, they are motivated,” said Prabowo while demonstrating the movement when the two sides compete.

“That is the skill of a commander, so it makes…the ministers too,” he added.
