Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto invited several journalists, observers, and experts from various fields to his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, to discuss current issues and developments in strategic domestic policies.

Head of the Indonesian Government Communication Agency (Bakom) RI, Angga Raka Prabowo, when contacted in Jakarta on Thursday early morning, explained that the discussion event in Hambalang took place from Tuesday (17/3) evening to Wednesday (18/3) early morning.

“The President held discussions and interviews with several journalists, observers, and experts regarding current issues to respond to global geopolitical dynamics and developments in strategic domestic policies. This meeting served as a space for in-depth discussion on the government’s direction in facing challenges and answering various important questions that are topics of public discussion,” said Angga Raka Prabowo, explaining the content of the Hambalang meeting.

“The discussion, which took place from 19:00 to 01:30 WIB on 17 March 2026, is expected to be a concrete step in building national optimism to realise the implementation of national transformation,” he continued.

“The President is fully committed to strengthening synergy with various elements of the nation, while also inviting all parties to work together in building the country,” stated the Head of Bakom RI.

In the official social media account of the President of the Republic of Indonesia @presidenrepublikindonesia, managed by the Indonesian Government Communication Agency, the discussion event took place in a roundtable format, with President Prabowo seated between Retno Pinasti, a senior journalist currently serving as editor-in-chief of SCTV-Indosiar, and Hasan Nasbi, former head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and political consultant.

At the same discussion table were Muhammad Chatib Basri, former Minister of Finance, economist, and lecturer at Harvard University, then Najwa Shihab, a senior journalist and founder of Narasi. There was also Rizal Mallarangeng, founder of the Freedom Institute, columnist, and observer, and Mardigu Wowiek Prasantyo, a content creator, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
