Prabowo Disburses Rp200 Billion for NTT Disaster Relief, Funds Already Transferred
The central government has begun disbursing additional funds to accelerate disaster management in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). President Prabowo Subianto, through presidential community assistance, has channelled Rp200 billion directly to regional governments on Monday (24/8/2026).
Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian said the disbursement was made through additional Unexpected Expenditure (BTT) to strengthen regional capacity in handling the impact of disasters.
“Everything was transferred this morning, the additional BTT from the President by the Minister of State Secretariat,” Tito said in his statement on Monday (24/8/2026).
Based on distribution data, NTT Province received an allocation of Rp40 billion, which was deposited into the provincial Regional General Cash Account (RKUD). The remaining Rp160 billion was distributed to eight disaster-affected regencies, each receiving Rp20 billion.
The eight recipient regions are West Manggarai, Manggarai, East Manggarai, Ende, Ngada, Nagekeo, Sikka, and East Flores Regencies.
This funding injection signals the central government’s accelerated fiscal response to disasters affecting several areas in Flores and its surroundings. With the funds already deposited into regional accounts, the government hopes that emergency response, infrastructure recovery, and assistance to affected communities can be expedited immediately.
The distribution of aid also comes amid President Prabowo’s earlier directive for all ministries, agencies, and regional governments to move quickly in responding to disasters and minimising their impact on the public.
The next challenge now lies with regional governments to ensure the emergency funds can be spent promptly and accurately targeted, thereby accelerating recovery in disaster-affected areas of NTT.
