Prabowo, Didit, and Titiek Soeharto Gather on the Eve of Eid

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto posted a moment with his son, Didit Hediprasetyo, and Titiek Soeharto, Chair of the DPR’s Commission IV, one day before Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 AD.

This warm moment was uploaded by Prabowo via his official Instagram account @prabowo on Friday (20/3/2026).

“Alhamdulillah, we have completed 30 days of Ramadan with full faith. Now, we welcome the day of victory with a clean heart,” wrote Prabowo.

In the shared photo, Prabowo, Didit, and Titiek sat in a circle at a round table containing plates and glasses.

In one of the photos, Titiek showed her phone to Prabowo.

President Prabowo’s pet cat, Bobby Kertanegara, joined in on the table while sampling the food on the plates.

In his post, Prabowo also invited this Eid moment to be an occasion for family gatherings and loved ones.

“May we be given the opportunity to meet Ramadan again next year. Happy gathering with family and loved ones,” he wrote.

The government has set 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah or Eid al-Fitr 2026/1447 Hijriah to fall on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

This decision was taken through the isbat session held by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag). Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar stated that the results of hilal monitoring formed the main basis for determining 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah.

This determination of the start of Syawal is based on astronomical calculations (hisab) as well as hilal sightings (rukyatul hilal) from hundreds of points across Indonesia.
