Prabowo Departs for Madura to Inaugurate Presidential Instruction Roads and Attend NU Conference
President Prabowo Subianto departed for Madura, East Java, this morning. He will inaugurate regional roads and attend the National Deliberation of Religious Scholars (Munas) and Grand Conference (Konbes) of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).
According to the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday (23/6/2026), Prabowo and a limited entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at approximately 09.00 WIB. Prabowo will first visit Sampang Regency.
In Sampang, Prabowo will inaugurate a 1,151-kilometre stretch of roads spread across Indonesia, forming part of the implementation of the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads (IJD). The inauguration is described as part of the government’s commitment to accelerating road infrastructure development to enhance inter-regional connectivity, drive regional economic growth, and facilitate the distribution of goods and services.
Afterwards, Prabowo will continue his journey to Bangkalan Regency. He will attend the closing of the 2026 NU Munas and Konbes, held at IAI Syaichona Mohammad Cholil. This event is considered an important momentum in strengthening the role of religious scholars in maintaining national unity and contributing ideas towards national development.
Accompanying Prabowo on the flight to East Java were Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
