Prabowo Departs for Central Java to Inaugurate Semarang Tawang Station

President Prabowo Subianto departed for Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday morning to inaugurate Semarang Tawang Station, a cultural heritage site in Central Java that has been officially restored by the government for the first time. The presidential aircraft carrying President Prabowo took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at approximately 09.30 WIB. During the flight to Semarang, President Prabowo was accompanied by several ministers, including State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Culture Minister Fadli Zon, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Upon arrival at the Army’s Ahmad Yani Main Airbase in Semarang, President Prabowo proceeded directly to Semarang Tawang Railway Station. At the location, the President attended the inauguration ceremony for the station’s restoration. Cabinet Secretary Teddy stated that the restoration of the station, a cultural heritage site built in 1914, was a follow-up to the President’s directive to the CEO of KAI in 2025. Following the inauguration, President Prabowo is scheduled to travel to Batang Regency by testing the Nusantara Explorer train. Teddy noted that the train service reflects the President’s desire for KAI to offer a beautiful, elegant, and comfortable passenger service. In Batang Regency, the President will inaugurate a mass contract signing for 62,000 subsidised mortgage units, held simultaneously at 165 locations across 36 provinces, with the main event centred at Puri Delta City in Batang, Central Java.
