Prabowo demands stable fuel supplies, electricity and internet during Eid celebrations
The availability of fuel, electricity supplies and internet networks will be continuously maintained at stable levels, the President stated in his address at the Full Cabinet Session held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
The President also requested improvements in service quality at rest areas, ports, airports and all stations to support the smooth flow of homecoming travellers during the Eid holiday period. Prabowo warned against uncontrolled queues forming at various transport service points.
Additionally, President Prabowo instructed the relevant ministers to ensure food supplies remain stable and safe, and that prices are maintained during Eid. “This is our government’s second Eid. The Coordinating Minister for Food, Minister of Trade and Minister of Agriculture must ensure that food supplies are stable and safe and that we can maintain prices,” Prabowo said.
The Head of State also instructed Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana to actively visit various tourist destinations and encourage the public to promote tourism potential across various regions in the country.
According to the President, the current global situation is characterised by uncertainty and crises affecting several nations. Despite this, he believes the economy must continue to function and people need to remain calm because Indonesia still possesses the strength and capability to keep the wheels of life turning.
“We still have the strength and capability so that the wheels of life do not stop; the situation in general can still be controlled by us,” he emphasised.
The President also instructed all ministries and institutions to prepare various aspects for Eid to ensure this year’s homecoming travel proceeds smoothly, safely and comfortably.
“We will ensure that this year’s homecoming travel proceeds smoothly, safely, comfortably and joyfully. Prioritise safety on the roads and prepare all aspects carefully,” he concluded.
