Prabowo Delivers Speech at DPR Plenary Session as 451 MPs Attend

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The DPR RI plenary session to listen to President Prabowo Subianto’s address on the Macro-Economic Framework (KEM) and the Core Principles of Fiscal Policy (PPKF) for RAPBN 2027 was attended by 451 members of the DPR. ‘The attendance list at the start of today’s DPR plenary session has been signed by 451 members, from all factions represented in the DPR RI,’ said Speaker of the DPR Puan Maharani as she opened the session at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday (20 May 2026). The meeting was opened to the public. The session was opened and chaired by Puan together with the deputy speakers of the DPR, namely Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Sari Yuliati, and Saan Mustopa. Meanwhile, Prabowo arrived accompanied by Vice President (Wapres) RI Gibran Rakabuming to attend. In addition, several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet and the chairmen of political parties were also in attendance at the plenary session. Prabowo became the president to personally present the government’s macroeconomic and fiscal policy directions for the year before the DPR RI.
