Prabowo Delivers Briefing to 1,500 TNI Unit Commanders, Igniting Fighting Spirit and Solidarity
President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto delivered a briefing to the TNI Unit Commanders for 2026 at an event held at the National Defence University in Bogor Regency, West Java, on Thursday, 30 April 2026. The activity was attended by around 1,500 participants from all branches of the TNI as well as related elements. President Prabowo’s arrival at the venue was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the TNI Unit Commanders through renditions of the struggle songs “Maju Tak Gentar” and “Garuda Pancasila”. A solemn atmosphere then accompanied the entire series of events, beginning with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya. Moving into the core of the activity, the participants jointly sang the TNI March as well as the marches of each branch—the Indonesian Army, Indonesian Navy, and Indonesian Air Force—which further affirmed the spirit of solidarity and corps pride. The event continued with a collective prayer as a form of hope for the smooth execution of duties and the TNI’s dedication to the nation and state. TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto then delivered his report to President Prabowo. This event was attended by around 1,500 participants consisting of personnel from TNI Headquarters, Indonesian Army personnel, Indonesian Navy personnel, Indonesian Air Force personnel, as well as participants from non-structural elements. The activity was also attended by TNI leadership ranks from the highest level to unit command levels across Indonesia, starting from the Chiefs of Staff of the Branches, Main Command Commanders, to Unit Commanders at the Battalion Commander level. Several ministers, deputy ministers, and officials of ministerial rank were also present, reflecting the strong synergy between the defence sector and government elements in maintaining national stability. The event concluded with a lunch reception together with President Prabowo, serving as a symbol of the closeness between the leader and the field commanders, while strengthening cohesion and the spirit of togetherness in carrying out state duties.
