Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto has stated that Danantara Indonesia has demonstrated exceptionally strong performance over the past year, achieving a return on assets (ROA) exceeding 300 per cent.

The President said this achievement demonstrates significant potential in managing state-owned enterprise (SOE) assets when handled in an integrated and professional manner.

“I received a report and I am quite pleased — return on assets over the past year, 2025, compared to previous years has risen more than 300 per cent,” Prabowo said during his speech at Danantara’s first anniversary celebration in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He stated that the establishment of Danantara was a strategic step to consolidate various state assets in order to generate greater added value for the national economy.

Danantara currently manages nearly 1,000 companies comprising subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries of SOEs. According to him, with solid unified control and in the right hands, these state enterprises have now achieved remarkable results.

Additionally, Prabowo emphasised that this positive performance serves as evidence that Indonesia possesses significant potential in managing national wealth more productively.

“Our premise has proven correct — consolidation under a single management with rational principles and world-class standards. Return on assets I received exceeds 300 per cent,” he said.

However, Prabowo cautioned that Danantara still has much work to do, particularly in generating net profit margins larger than its total assets.

The government will continue to encourage the management of state assets in a transparent, professional, and accountable manner in order to deliver optimal results for the nation and state.
