Prabowo Convenes Kadin Entrepreneurs from Across Indonesia at the Palace
President Prabowo Subianto held a strategic meeting with business leaders from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Friday. The meeting was attended by the General Chair of Kadin Indonesia, Anindya Novyan Bakrie, alongside board members from 38 provinces across the country.
Anindya Bakrie explained that the presence of regional leaders, from Aceh to Papua, was intended to receive direct guidance from the President regarding efforts to boost the economy starting from the regional level. “Today, Kadin has arrived alongside leaders from 38 provinces. We want to discuss how we can work together to increase the economy from the regions,” said Anindya.
In addition to regional officials, the meeting involved representatives from 30 business associations and unions. Anindya noted that today’s agenda follows up on discussions previously held with Prabowo at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, in 2025. According to Anindya, that previous meeting had predicted the current global economic and geopolitical conditions. Consequently, Kadin deems it necessary to synchronise steps with the government to find solutions amidst global uncertainty while maintaining optimism for regional growth.
President Prabowo was accompanied by several ministers and heads of agencies from the Red and White Cabinet, including the Minister of Finance, Minister of Trade, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of MSMEs, and the Minister of Housing and Residential Areas. Also present were the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Minister of Manpower, the Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Agency (BP BUMN) and COO of Danantara, and the President Director of Pindad. The presence of these economic ministers underscores the government’s focus on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors.
