Prabowo Convenes Full Cabinet Session at Presidential Palace

President Prabowo Subianto is convening a full cabinet session at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026. All members of the Red and White Cabinet, including ministers, deputy ministers, agency heads, and presidential advisors, have been invited to attend.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the cabinet session will address government readiness ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations. “Today there will be a cabinet session concerning Eid preparations,” Teddy said in a statement on Friday.

Teddy indicated that the agenda would commence at approximately 16:00 Jakarta time. Prior to the cabinet session, President Prabowo is scheduled to pay personal zakat through the National Zakat Board (Baznas).

Several Red and White Cabinet members will also pay their zakat alongside Prabowo. “The event will begin with the payment of obligatory and almsgiving zakat by cabinet members to the National Zakat Board at the State Palace,” Teddy explained.

President Prabowo has convened a full cabinet session at least once this year. The President previously invited all Red and White Cabinet members for a full session meeting on 6 January 2026. That meeting was held at Prabowo’s private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, and was framed as a retreat.

During that occasion, Prabowo issued a reprimand to cabinet members. State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi conveyed this reprimand during a closed session of the retreat and evaluation meeting of the Red and White Cabinet.

State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi disclosed this information during the retreat. “The President gave a reprimand in the sense of spurring on morale,” said Prasetyo when speaking to journalists during the retreat’s break on 6 January 2026.

According to Prasetyo, the President issued the reprimand because he wanted cabinet members to work considerably faster. However, Prasetyo did not disclose which ministers received the reprimand from Prabowo.

Before conducting the closed cabinet evaluation session in January, Prabowo delivered an open briefing. In his remarks, Prabowo discussed various government achievements and challenges across various programmes, including free nutritious meals and rice self-sufficiency.

Prabowo opened his remarks by outlining the meeting agenda. One of the main topics, he said, was an evaluation of performance from the previous year.
