“And in the end, I believe PDIP too will stand with us in defending the state and the nation — that is my instinct.”

Jakarta (ANTARA) — President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto believes that the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will ultimately stand alongside the government and other political forces in safeguarding the nation and the state.

“I am confident that all parties in the coalition — we are already heading in this direction and standing together with me,” Prabowo said in a national address delivered at the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB) in Jakarta on Thursday evening.

Prabowo made the remark while explaining the importance of national unity in managing Indonesia’s natural resources so that their benefits can be felt by the people rather than flowing abroad.

According to him, all political parties and elements of the nation essentially share the same aspiration of bringing prosperity to the Indonesian people.

He said differences of opinion and criticism within political dynamics are natural and can be interpreted as mutual reminders in the common interest.

Prabowo expressed optimism that all of Indonesia’s major political forces can ultimately unite to defend the country’s sovereignty.

“And in the end, I believe PDIP too will stand with us in defending the state and the nation — that is my instinct,” the President said.
