Prabowo confident coalition parties aligned in safeguarding national wealth
President Prabowo Subianto is confident that the political parties within the government coalition are aligned in their direction to safeguard the nation’s wealth in order to realise the people’s prosperity. ‘I sense that our struggle has been understood and comprehended. I believe the parties have understood this. I am confident all parties in our coalition are already on this path. We no longer want to allow our wealth to be taken away,’ Prabowo said while attending the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Thursday evening. Prabowo made the statement after appreciating the results of the PKB Ulama Ijtima, which supports the government’s strategic steps to strengthen national sovereignty, build economic self-reliance, and return the direction of national development to the mandate of Pancasila and Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. He added that Article 34 of the 1945 Constitution also affirms the state’s obligation to care for the poor and abandoned children, develop a social security system, and provide adequate public health services and facilities. Prabowo said this constitutional mandate is being realised through various government policies, from building bridges to repairing schools. According to him, these policies can be implemented through budget savings and efforts to stop budget leakages. He also expressed confidence that political parties outside the government coalition will eventually cooperate in defending the interests of the nation and state. ‘I am confident that all the coalition parties I lead are of one breath, one soul, and stand with me. In the end, I also believe PDI Perjuangan will join us in defending the nation and state. That is my instinct, my inner voice, because we are all patriots and children of the Indonesian nation,’ Prabowo said.
