Jakarta - The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Muhammad Qodari, reported that the government under President Prabowo Subianto has completed the revitalisation of 16,062 schools. Qodari explained that the school revitalisation programme for 2025 initially targeted 10,000 schools but was subsequently increased to 16,167 schools. Of this number, 16,062 schools have been fully constructed. “The School Revitalisation Programme has been allocated to 16,167 schools in 2025. As of 11 March 2026, 16,062 schools have completed construction, with 105 educational units still in the process of finalising physical development,” Qodari stated during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday (25 March 2026). “In addition to the allocated budget and the total targets set for 2026, the government also plans to expand the targets to 60,000 educational units,” Qodari clarified. “So, in 2025, it went from 10,000 to 16,000. For 2026, around 11,000 have been allocated, and it is planned to be increased to reach 60,000,” he added. “This shows President Prabowo’s strong commitment to education. Who says it’s lacking? In fact, it’s being increased. That’s the key point,” he emphasised.
