Prabowo commits to phased development of NTT down to village level
President Prabowo Subianto has committed to developing East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in stages, down to the village level, to improve regional productivity and public welfare.
Prabowo made the statement while greeting residents affected by the disaster at the evacuation post of the 834/Wakanga Mere Territorial Development Battalion Headquarters in Tonggurambang Village, Mbay, NTT, on Wednesday.
“Earlier the Regent conveyed to me his ideas to make this regency a very productive regency, and we will develop all of NTT, all of Indonesia we will develop,” said Prabowo, who was monitored online via the Presidential Secretariat broadcast in Jakarta.
According to Prabowo, development will be carried out evenly, starting from the regency, sub-district, to village level.
“Regency by regency, sub-district by sub-district, village by village, we will develop. Our people must live well and prosperously,” he said.
The President said he received a report from the Regent of Nagekeo that the community had felt the benefits of the programme.
“I received a report from the Regent that the people of Nagekeo Regency have felt the benefits of the MBG. Is that true?” Prabowo asked the residents.
Residents at the evacuation post answered “True” in unison.
Hearing the answer, Prabowo confirmed that the MBG programme would be continued.
The President said MBG is important to support the health of community groups that need attention, especially children, pregnant women, and the elderly.
On that occasion, Prabowo also interacted with residents by asking the full names of several officials accompanying him, including National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
