Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Prabowo Subianto has claimed that cutting-edge technology can reveal hidden wealth of corrupt officials even if they are deep underground in bunkers.

He warned that there must be no more officials bold enough to commit or contemplate corruption.

“I am sad that the current officials still attempt to corrupt. It’s quickly exposed. There is now technology, there is radar we can use; we can look underground,” Prabowo said during a plenary session at the DPR in Jakarta on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

The technology, traditionally used to locate hidden weapon depots and detect landmines, will now be deployed to track suspicious bunkers.

Prabowo also warned those who conceal wealth through vast illegal land or plantation holdings.

“So brothers and sisters who have bunkers hidden, we will find your wealth too. I will use the most advanced technology. Defence technology can locate weapon stores underground. Radar now can search, mines can search. We will use it to locate bunkers around you,” he said.

Prabowo said the technology is not a toy. He knows corrupt individuals may own expansive plantations; they think it cannot be checked. In fact, bunkers can be checked via satellites, without physical inspections.

“No need for physical checks—we can take photos. Every tree can be photographed; tree by tree. So if you intend to cheat anyway, we will uncover your deception, fellow citizens,” Prabowo said.

He noted that perpetrators often operate with backing from rogue officials in uniform. He urged the public to report such uniformed officials if found.

“But usually those people have backing. Their backing is usually their uniforms, whether green or brown. Right? I am the Gadget of all. Fellow citizens, if any official acts improperly, I urge you to video, straight away,” he said.

The green and brown uniforms refer to members of the TNI and Polri.

“As a senior, as an alumnus, I do not hesitate.. Do not tarnish the TNI-Polri, fellow citizens. The TNI-Polri belong to the people and must fight for the people,” he asserted.
