Prabowo Claims Indonesia's 2025 Investment Realisation Target Already Achieved
Jakarta, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto has stated that, based on reports received from the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, Indonesia's 2025 investment realisation target has already been achieved.
He noted that the 2025 investment realisation was accomplished four months ahead of the year-end target.
"I have been given a report by the Minister of Investment that Indonesia's investment this month has already reached the target," Prabowo said on the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) YouTube channel, as quoted on Monday, 21 July 2025.
"We have already reached the 2025 investment realisation target this August, four months before the end of the year," the President said.
However, Prabowo did not specify the exact figure of investment realisation achieved up to August 2025.
He added that this serves as evidence to counter the narrative that Indonesia is currently in a difficult and bleak situation.
"We are on the right path. The effort to make it seem as though Indonesia is in difficulty, that Indonesia is in the dark, that Indonesia's economy has failed — that is an attempt to dampen our spirits and it is not true," he said.
The investment realisation report for the second quarter of 2025 had previously been presented by Deputy Minister of Investment/Deputy Head of BKPM, Todotua Pasaribu. Investment realisation in the second quarter of 2025 was recorded at Rp 475 trillion, higher than the first quarter of 2025 which stood at Rp 465 trillion.
"The first and second quarters of 2025 are already secure. Investment realisation for Q1 2025 was released at Rp 465 trillion, and in Q2 2025 we have reached Rp 475 trillion," he said.
In 2024, Indonesia had previously set an investment target of Rp 1,650 trillion, which was successfully achieved by the government. The target was subsequently raised for 2025 to Rp 1,905 trillion.
