Prabowo Calls World Leaders on Eid al-Fitr Occasion, Including Anwar Ibrahim and MBZ

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Prabowo Subianto has once again contacted several leaders of friendly countries via telephone on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

“President Prabowo has continued communication through telephone calls with leaders of friendly countries,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya via Instagram @sekretariat.kabinet on Monday (23/3/2026).

Teddy stated that this exchange of greetings serves as an opportunity to strengthen relations and cooperation between nations.

“This exchange of greetings is part of efforts to maintain closeness and strengthen inter-country cooperation, especially at this meaningful Eid al-Fitr moment,” he said.

It was reported on Sunday (22/3/2026) that Prabowo had also telephoned four other heads of friendly states as part of the greetings.

The four leaders are President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan; Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif; King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).
