Prabowo Calls Police Chief for One-Hour Private Meeting in Hambalang
President Prabowo Subianto summoned Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Friday (24/6/2026). The President requested a report on the Indonesian National Police’s (Polri) strategic programmes, including transformations within the police environment.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that the private meeting between President Prabowo and the Police Chief lasted approximately one hour. “President Prabowo Subianto called Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to the Hambalang residence on Friday, 24 April 2026. The meeting, which lasted around one hour, discussed several matters related to national security and the general national situation in various strategic sectors,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy when contacted in Jakarta on Friday (24/6/2026).
In the same meeting, Police Chief Listyo Sigit also reported to the President on several strategic police programmes. These included strengthening digital transformation of public services, improving the professionalism of members from recruitment to service, and ongoing efforts to maintain security and public order involving all elements of society.
The Police Chief also reported to the President on synergies between the police and various institutions to support national programmes, covering sectors such as agriculture, food, nutritious food, rapid disaster response, and improved services for the public.
From a photo uploaded by the Cabinet Secretariat in Jakarta on Friday, President Prabowo is seen reading the report handed over by the Police Chief. The Police Chief, sitting directly opposite the President, then provided a presentation and direct explanation of his report to the President.
At Hambalang today, besides the Police Chief, President Prabowo also received a report from the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani. The meeting between the President and Rosan was also private.
In his meeting with the President, Rosan reported on the progress of downstreaming programmes to be built in 13 locations across Indonesia. The President then directed that downstreaming must be expanded so as not to target only the energy and mineral sectors, but also the agriculture and fisheries sectors.
