Prabowo Calls Mohammed bin Salman to Discuss Middle East Conflict
President Prabowo Subianto held a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabian Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The discussion addressed developments in the military escalation in the Middle East.
This was conveyed through a statement by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs via X on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
“His Royal Highness the Crown Prince discussed via telephone with the President of Indonesia regarding developments in military escalation in the region and its serious implications for regional and international security and stability,” the statement read.
Additionally, it was noted that President Prabowo called for an immediate halt to military operations in the Middle East.
“His Majesty (the President of Indonesia) emphasised the necessity of immediate cessation of military operations in the region, which will damage its security and stability,” it stated.
