Prabowo Calls Corn Cob Charcoal Briquette Innovation by the Police a Miracle

Initially, Prabowo stated that the National Police Chief, General Sigit Prabowo, had been successful. He said this success could be seen in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program managed by the Police. “I see that Mr. Listyo Sigit has been successful, right? How can I deny it? But I want to be objective,” Prabowo said in his speech at the Simultaneous Corn Harvest Festival and Groundbreaking of 10 Food Security Warehouses of the Police, in Tuban, East Java, Saturday (16/5/2026). Prabowo admitted that he had attended the corn harvest festival with the Police three times. According to him, each event always features new innovations in the food and energy sectors. “I am happy, I’m not pretending. I am relieved, why? Because the world is facing an energy crisis, and countries are panicking. But now I’ve been told, ‘Sir, don’t worry, we can make charcoal briquettes from corn cobs.’ Wow. Extraordinary,” he said. “Previously, the corn cobs were thrown away, right? Now they can be a source of energy. Extraordinary. Thank you, Police Chief. Thank you, Police. Indonesian Police,” he continued. According to him, the Police have proven their capabilities. Prabowo also said he was proud that Indonesia has innovative sons and daughters. “That’s why you know, this is extraordinary. Sorry, charcoal briquettes from corn cobs, this is, yes, I agree, a miracle. This is a miracle,” he said. Prabowo also highlighted the development of coal-based fertilizer. He said this innovation was also a miracle. “Earlier, there was also fertilizer made from coal. This is also extraordinary. This is a miracle in my opinion. We can make low-calorie fertilizer, what?
