Prabowo Calls AHY and Danantara for Meeting on "Giant Sea Wall"

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto summoned several ministers to the Palace in Jakarta to discuss the giant sea wall project.

Kompas.com observations at the location on Tuesday (12/5/2026) showed that those summoned included Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani and Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

Also present were the Deputy Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, who also serves as Head of the North Java Coast Management Authority, and Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo.

“Yes, the sea wall,” said Rosan briefly.

He confirmed that the meeting with Prabowo was related to the Giant Sea Wall.

“Including,” said AHY.

Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) stated that the construction of the Giant Sea Wall cannot be done in a short time because it requires careful planning, the right technology, and adequate budget support.

AHY explained that the construction of the Giant Sea Wall is a mandate from President Prabowo Subianto through the establishment of the North Java Coast Management Authority (BOPPJ).
