Prabowo Cabinet Session Opened with Government Achievements Video
President Prabowo Subianto convened a full cabinet session at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026. The meeting was opened with a video presentation showcasing government achievements.
Before commencing the session, Prabowo greeted the members of the Red and White Cabinet who had arrived at the meeting room. Dozens of ministers, deputy ministers, agency heads and presidential advisers attended the session.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya opened the session with a video presentation. “Before we begin, we present a video showing the completion of 218 bridges across Indonesia within 2.5 months, the renovation of more than 16,000 schools including toilets within one year of this administration, and several ministry programmes completed within this past month,” said Teddy.
The video contained footage of various clips claimed to represent government achievements. One segment showed the construction process of bridges across Indonesia, with images of military personnel and police involved in the project work displayed in the video.
Following the video presentation, Prabowo opened the cabinet session. Prabowo stated that this full cabinet session addressed preparations for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijrah. “We have entered the 23rd day of this holy month of Ramadan, and in seven days we will celebrate Eid al-Fitr,” Prabowo told his team.
Prabowo specifically thanked members of religions other than Islam, saying they had properly respected the month of Ramadan. “This has always been the pride and advantage of the Indonesian nation—that we perform our respective religious observances in an atmosphere of harmony, kinship and mutual respect,” he said.
Prabowo recounted being impressed when attending the 100th anniversary celebration of Nahdlatul Ulama at Gajayana Stadium in Malang, East Java in February. At that occasion, he said, churches in Malang had permitted NU members to sleep in church yards. “This is our excellence, our goodness, our strength. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika—different yet one—this we must preserve,” Prabowo said.
Prabowo then discussed the video shown before the meeting. According to him, the video demonstrated government presence in the community. He elaborated on how the government had constructed hundreds of bridges in disaster-affected areas and remote regions within 2.5 months.
“On behalf of the state and nation and as President, I express my gratitude to all those who have worked hard,” said the former defence minister.
During the session, Prabowo discussed various preparations for Eid al-Fitr, including holiday bonuses for online taxi drivers, discounted travel tickets for holiday travellers, and security measures for public facilities during the Lebaran period. Ministers and agency heads also took turns delivering reports to Prabowo throughout the meeting.
